We use your email address, email consent and subscription records to send you Make Good news about makers, objects and shop events. Our lawful basis for these emails is your consent. Subscribing is optional and is separate from visiting or buying from the shop.
We use Mailchimp to manage subscriptions, record your email marketing permission, send confirmation and news emails, and handle unsubscribes. This form sends your email address and permission directly to Mailchimp. You must confirm your subscription using the link emailed to you before joining the active mailing list. Mailchimp processes these details and subscription activity on our behalf. See Mailchimp’s privacy notice for information about its processing, including international transfers. We do not share the list with other businesses for their marketing.
We keep your subscription while you wish to receive news. When you withdraw consent, we stop sending news and remove you from the active list. We may keep the minimum consent and opt-out record needed to demonstrate your preferences and avoid contacting you again, only for as long as that remains necessary.
You can withdraw consent at any time by replying to a news email or emailing us to unsubscribe. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of emails sent before you withdrew it.
You can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your information, or for restriction or a copy of it where applicable. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
